Summer Holidays & Sunshine Make you Feel Good

Summer Holidays are the most popular time of year to travel, its not only a great time to get away with family and friends its also one of the times you can benefit the most from a holiday away from home. One thing that should be remembered when organising a summer holiday is that flights, hotels accommodation, youth hostels and prices across the board are quite expensive as its high season, but its worth the money and if you plan well and spend wisely you don’t need to break the bank for a Summer Holiday.

The Number one reason that Summer Time is the most popular time of year to Holiday and travel abroad is that the weather is great in many more countries during Summer than any other time of year, meaning holiday makers have a much wider choice of where to visit and the places to stay in the city are more varied, from Luxury Hotels, apartments, group accommodation, budget hotels, guesthouse, cheap hostels accommodation and many more.

All these benefits don’t need to be memorised or thought about too deeply, its just worth keeping in the back of your mind why we all love to travel for a Summer Holiday and a holiday during Summer time seems to benefit us all more than a holiday any other time of year.

Travel Britain by Rail And Explore The Amazing Views Of Britain

Having grown up in North America, my idea of distance is a little different from most Europeans. Maybe it’s because you can fit the whole of Britain in my province, but cross-country tours just don’t always mean the same from country to country. If you do happen to land yourself in the UK and are looking for the best way to get around, train would be it. Bringing you to the doorstep of all major cities, shopping areas, hostels and hotels accomodation, sporting events, and other favored destinations, the British Rail system is by far the most efficient, convenient, scenic, and reasonable way to travel. The ride from Edinburgh to London is a whopping seven hours, but do not fear, not many rides will take you on a trip that long.

Some fantastic destinations where you can find all amenities including good food, good people, and good hostels, are found along these tracks. Leeds is a highlight for social life and is beyond many comparable club scenes. Bristol, if you’re into it, is home of the world famous graffiti artist Banksy and harbours a significant amount of his work as well as many other sensational graffitists. Take a trip to the coast and check out the iconic Durdle Door and spend the day at the beach in the sea-side town of Weymouth. Even a trip as far up the coast as Blackpool can amaze those who love the harbour side carnival and Nottingham houses some very interesting historical sights including documentation of the epic hero Robin Hood and glorious and amazing Sherwood Forest where his hide-out, Major Oak still stands.

A few tips on traveling via rail; Shop around for the best price, there are many sites that carry tickets for your destination. Advance booking your seat by at least a week saves you some big money. And, look for packages and deals to cut your cost. If you are a student, you can purchase a student rail card that will really help on your cross-country journey. And don’t forget, staying in hostels is a fantastic way to save a little money!

Train Travel Has Unlocked Europe

Europe Only A Train Journey Away From UK

For many years the island of the UK was only reachable by Sea or Air. The Opening of the Euro Tunnel a few years back and the Euro Star train service has opened train travel to Europe.

Now days it takes only takes about, 2 and half hours from London St Pancras International Train Station, near Kings Cross Central London, to get to the centre of Paris on Euro Star.

The UK train transport system has always been efficient and well integrated, but there has never been, a good rail network connecting Europe.

Today you can get up in London and in a few hours you will be in Brussels or Paris having your Breakfast in style. One good thing about travelling by Train is, you don’t have the awkward waiting and check in at the Airport, which is now getting increasingly longer and longer.

Train travel I think is good for the environment and moves more people at the same time, not just that, the view from the widow of a moving train, is like a Paradise, the changing scenery every second is mesmerising.

Train Travel has put Europe on the UK’s door step, people are now able to go on a weekend away or a couple of days break at the drop of a hat, a train ticket and a hostels or hotel in Paris, Brussels or somewhere in Europe and you are all set, no major planning or headaches and everything can be booked online as well.

Britain was the last vital link in the European train network, people in France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Holland to mention but a few, have been travelling cross country by train for years. Now the UK is benefiting from European Train Network.

I was once in a train from Luxembourg City to Paris, a few years back, and I had a conversation with a gentleman from Luxembourg, he was visiting his doctor for a checkup, nothing strange about that, but what was amazing was, his doctor was based in Belgium. Train travel has truly broken down the borders of European Countries.
